ZAKRE LAW OFFICE'S mission is to provide a full range of legal services to address the unique legal needs of people with disabilities and senior citizens. Sheila O'Leary Zakre, the firm's founder and principal, has over 17 years of legal experience helping children, adults and seniors. Many lawyers are not familiar with the complicated laws that address these needs at all. Other lawyers may know one or two areas of the law, but are not experienced in representing people across the life span. You will not need to explain the importance of respect and independence for yourself or a loved one who is aging or has a disability. Sheila knows about, and has represented people who have, a wide variety of physical and mental challenges, including Alzheimer's, Asperger's Syndrome, autism, depression, mental retardation, and Muscular Dystrophy. She does not treat people with disabilities and senior citizens as needing "sympathy" or as being "courageous" when what they want is respect.

Sheila is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and of the Elder Law, Probate and Estate Planning Section of the New Hampshire Bar Association.
